Complex Series of Roads

I'm going to make a complex series of roads in
N-Scale on a 2'x3' sheet of foamboard.  This
model will be used as a demo for the Model Rail
Road Shows we do.  
This entire project took me 3 afternoons to
complete.

In this picture I drew my idea free-hand
onto the foam board.  I also indicated
where I wanted the hills to go.

I cut out more foam board to act as hills
and glued them in place.

I used sculpt-a-mold (or cellu-clay) paper
mache material to fill in the edges of the
hills. Then I cut strips of newspaper out,
taped them together and trimmed them to
fit where I wanted my roads to go.  The
newspaper will act as a template for the
road system.
