Someone recently asked me if sections of Real Road could be
joined together.  Well, as the fates would have it, I dropped a
file on the road surface and ... well, you know...
Here was a good opportunity to demonstrate this technique.
Here, I've cut a section (from a piece of scrap) of road to fit.
I put down a thin layer of caulking to secure the road piece
(and to keep it smooth).  I put scotch tape across the whole
road at the seam between the two sections of road.  I also laid
a thin layer of Real Road under the seam to fill in any gaps in
the seam.  The tape held everything together on the same level
plane and helped blend the Real Road that came up through
the seam.  You can see the seam in this photo but when it's
dry and detailed, it will be hardly noticeable.
Here I'm replacing the traffic lines.  Very easy to do,
in fact, with the Real Road Traffic Lines Kit!
